HQS Consulting was established in November 2003 and was registered as a Close Corporation in South Africa in February 2004. It was established by Dr GD Nzanira, formerly a Medical Superintendent of Nkonjeni and St. Francis Hospitals and their affiliated Primary Health Care facilities, a position he held for five years before he was transferred to Grey’s Hospital in the same position for three years until April 2003 when he left the Public Service to join the private sector as a Senior Management Consultant at Harambe Institute for Transformation in Durban until November 2003. It is during these years that Dr Nzanira developed a particular interest and has done a lot of work in the fields of Quality Management and Improvement in Healthcare and other Service Organisations as well as what is considered vital to support it such as Good Governance, Transformation, Change, Organizational Development, Leadership, Health Technology Management, Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (SHE) and Project Management to name but a few.
